Peter Grocock, Regional Branch Manager at Brown & Brown, presented a cheque alongside Nicole Laken, Business Manager of Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust to Brian Gribben and Iain Major, trustees of OurTide.
The presentation took place on Clevedon Pier, the proposed site of the Renewable Energy and Community Hub, which aims to showcase different renewable energy technologies and highlight the advantages and limitations of each.
Over the past 15 years, Brown & Brown has developed a strong understanding of Clevedon Pier, its heritage and significance, alongside a close and longstanding working relationship with the board of directors.
The Severn Estuary is home to the second‑highest tidal range in the world and is widely recognised as one of the UK’s most promising locations for the development of tidal power, making it a natural focus for innovation in renewable energy.
Peter Grocock said: “We are proud to support Our Tide and the work of their volunteers creating a community focal point for renewable energy on Clevedon Pier.”
