Albert Goodman, the leading South West-based accountancy firm, has promoted Lizzie Walpole (pictured) to audit partner, strengthening its senior leadership team within the firm’s audit department.
Having joined Albert Goodman in 2019, Lizzie steps up to Partner level from her previous role of audit director. Working closely with some of Albert Goodman’s largest clients, Lizzie is highly skilled in delivering audit, accountancy and business advisory services to owner-managed businesses, scaling companies and academy trusts.
A Chartered Certified Accountant, Lizzie has over a decade’s audit experience both in accounting firms and with in-house finance teams. This background gives her a well-rounded understanding of audit from both adviser and client perspectives, which she brings to her work across the South West.
A company spokesperson said Lizzie’s appointment reflects Albert Goodman’s continued commitment to building the strength of its audit team ensuring it’s well placed to support clients as their businesses develop and regulatory requirements continue to evolve.
Commenting on the appointment, Albert Goodman Managing Partner Iain McVicar said: “Lizzie’s appointment is very well deserved. She is a highly respected member of the audit team and has consistently demonstrated technical excellence alongside a strong commitment to client service. Her experience brings real value to our clients, and we’re delighted to see her take this next step.”
Lizzie said: “I’m very proud to be made a Partner at Albert Goodman. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and colleagues since joining the firm, and I’m looking forward to continuing to support the audit team and our clients as they navigate an increasingly complex economic environment.”
