South West developer Summerfield has signed a new three-year sponsorship agreement with Taunton Deane Cricket Club.
The partnership deal will fund team kit, advertising boards, sponsorship of the club’s overseas player and the continued use of the club’s facilities, with Summerfield branding already featuring on First XI playing shirts.
The sponsorship reflects Summerfield’s ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sport and community organisations across Somerset, helping local clubs to thrive and encouraging participation at all levels of the game.
Summerfield is a long-standing supporter of the club, which is the second largest cricket club in Somerset by participation and whose First XI plays in the West of England Premier League. It continues to field a strong number of men’s, women’s and youth teams.
Contributing £3,500 to the club as part of the sponsorship deal, Summerfield will also make use of the clubhouse bar and lounge, where it hosts the company’s popular annual Boules Competition. Summerfield will host a Match Day event where it entertains guests during a fixture.
Summerfield’s Group Managing Director, James Holyday, said: “We are pleased to continue our support of Taunton Deane Cricket Club, helping get their season off to a great start with our contribution to their funds. The club is to be congratulated on the admirable number of teams it continues to field and we wish them every success for the summer ahead.”
First XI player and TDCC committee member, Sam Burgess, said: “We are very grateful to the directors at Summerfield for their continued financial and moral support that they offer to the club and we look forward to welcoming them to matches throughout the season.”
