South West-based consultancy firm, hgkc, which supports UK owner-managed businesses with leadership, growth, innovation and preparation for exit, has today announced the appointment of Sarah Chilcott (pictured) as Managing Director. 
After working as an Associate partner for 18 months, Sarah was appointed to the board in April 2025 and has since immersed herself in developing new markets for hgkc’s unique brand of consultancy.
hgkc Co-Founder, Peter Quintana, said: “This is an important step in our exit planning. Kim Jones and I set out our plans for the future of hgkc before the pandemic and are excited that it is coming to fruition.
“We have every confidence in Sarah’s ability to establish a vision and to lead hgkc in a way that is consistent with the values we hold to be important.”
In addition to Sarah’s appointment, hgkc has also appointed Jim James (pictured left) and Paul Stevenson as Associate Partners, strengthening their proposition with experience in the use of AI to streamline operations and build value in client businesses, and with strategic sales and marketing for growth.
Sarah Chilcott said: “I am very excited at the prospect of building on the foundations Peter and Kim have laid down.
“The addition of Jim and Paul extend and deepen our capacity to advise our clients in two areas that are critical to business growth.”
