Businesses across Sedgemoor have just 15 days remaining to enter the Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards, with applications closing at midday on Thursday, September 17.
Organised by Sedgemoor Chamber of Commerce, the awards recognise businesses, organisations and individuals making a significant contribution to the local economy and community. The programme celebrates achievements across a wide range of sectors and disciplines, from start-ups and small businesses to established employers and community-focused organisations. 
The awards have undergone a refresh this year as part of the Chamber’s continued investment in raising the profile of local businesses. The update follows the Chamber’s transition from Bridgwater Chamber to Sedgemoor Chamber, alongside the recent rebrand of Somerset Business Expo.
A total of 20 award categories are open for entry, including Small Business of the Year, Employer of the Year, Sustainable Business, Technology & Innovation and Community Impact.
Entry is free and businesses can submit applications for multiple categories, allowing organisations to showcase achievements across different areas of their operation.
The Chamber says being named a finalist or winner can provide valuable recognition, helping to raise a business’s profile among customers, employees and partners while highlighting the work taking place across the Sedgemoor business community.
Applications take only a few minutes to complete and must be submitted before the September 17 deadline.
