Brown & Brown UK welcomed insurance market partners to Bath for its annual rounders event, raising more than £600 in support of Children’s Hospice South West.
Brown & Brown UK brought together team mates, insurers and specialist market partners for its annual rounders event in Bath, combining informal networking with fundraising in support of Children’s Hospice South West.
Held close to Brown & Brown UK’s Bath office, the event provided an opportunity for brokers, insurers and partners from across the market to connect outside the usual trading environment. The afternoon combined friendly competition with relationship-building, reflecting the importance of collaboration across the insurance sector.
A raffle held during the event raised more than £600 for Children’s Hospice South West, which provides care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families across the region.
Will Hone, Brown & Brown UK, said: “Our annual rounders event is a great example of what can be achieved when our market partners come together. It was fantastic to see so many colleagues and partners supporting Children’s Hospice South West, while also strengthening the relationships that are so important across our market.”
The charity’s work includes hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care, end-of-life care and wider family support. Funds raised through corporate and community activity help support the delivery of these services across the South West.
The combined Coalition UK and Bridge Specialty International team were named winners following a competitive afternoon of rounders. A number of insurer and specialist partners took part, contributing to a strong cross-market turnout.
Market partners represented at the event included Arch, Markel, Allianz, Bridge Specialty International, Coalition, Hiscox, Zurich, Aviva and Travelers.
Brown & Brown UK thanked all participants, prize donors and organisers who supported the event.
For Brown & Brown UK, the annual rounders event reflects its focus on building long-term relationships with market partners while supporting the communities in which its teams live and work.
The afternoon concluded with a renewed commitment to continued collaboration across the market and further support for charitable initiatives that make a positive difference locally.
