Taunton Brewhouse has announced that tickets are now on sale for its 2026 Christmas production, Treasure Island – a swashbuckling festive adventure set to bring pirates, music, and storytelling magic to the heart of Somerset this winter.
The tale follows Jim Hawkins, growing up in the salt-aired historic harbour town of Watchet on the coast of West Somerset, but who wants more from life than one day becoming the owner of the family B&B.
However, the arrival of a mysterious sailor and the treasure map he carries turns Jim’s ordinary world upside down. Home comforts are soon a distant memory as Jim is aboard a ship bound for who knows where in search of stolen gold, sailing alongside a crew of colourful rogues, brave adventurers, and one utterly unforgettable, silver-tongued pirate: Long John Silver.
Bursting with rousing folk music, crashing waves, daring adventures and plenty of laughter, it’s a story about loyalty, courage and the most important journey of all – growing up and working out what really matters.
Vickie Robbins, Executive Director at Taunton Brewhouse, said: “Our Christmas productions are a real highlight of the year for us, and for so many of our audiences.
“There’s something incredibly special about welcoming families back year after year and seeing theatre become part of their festive tradition.
“We’re so proud of the work our creative teams and performers bring to the stage each Christmas, and Treasure Island feels like a brilliant next chapter in that story.”
Treasure Island runs from December 9 -27 and includes accessible performances. There is also a 20% discount for off-peak and accessible tickets bought before August 31.
