A recent Which? survey ranked WPA as the leading UK health insurer based on customer feedback.
For the first time, Which? has reviewed the PMI industry, also including Aviva, Axa, BUPA, SAGA and Vitality, for a recommended provider and WPA is the only company to be singled out in this year’s results published at the end of August 2023.

With an industry average claims score of 72%, WPA leads with a remarkable 82%. Similarly, the industry’s 64% average customer score is led by WPA with 74%.
In the claims review, WPA-led the speed settling claim, access to services wanted and range of hospitals available sections. They were also first equal in the clarity of process, informing customers of costs of the claim, waiting from initial referral to treatment, choice of consultants available and keeping customers updated about claim sections.
In the customer evaluation, WPA-led the clarity of terms and conditions section. They were first-equal in the ease of contact, clarity of written communication, how well cover fits customer needs, range of hospitals available, choice of medical professionals and value for money sections.
Consumer champion, Which? only endorses the best products and services and recommended providers are companies that are rated highly by Which? members that have made recent claims with their insurer.
According to Which?, recommended providers are companies which go the extra mile when it comes to satisfying their customers’. WPA stood out in the analysis when it came to their customer and claims scores.
