WPA announces partnership with Castle Race Series

WPA has teamed up with Castle Race Series as the official Health Insurance Partner 2023 and headline sponsor of the Schools Roadshow at Hever Castle on July 11-13, 2023.

Following the recent announcement of five times Olympian, Jo Pavey becoming a brand ambassador, partnering the Castle Race Series will reinforce WPA’s plan to promote easy ways to get fit, promote wellbeing and build resilience for all of their customers and beyond.

Castle Race Series (CRS) isthe UK’s leading sports festival organisers with a focus on quality multi-sport events at prestigious venues with an inclusive ‘compete or complete’ mantra. With a particular focus on the young, the CRS Schools Roadshow is an annual event attracting 24 primary schools over three days, with more than 700 children spending half the day doing triathlon and the second half doing castle related activities including archery, falconry and a water maze.

To supercharge the initiative, invited schools will be introduced to the WPA Foundation whose current focus is supporting schools across the UK to purchase equipment that promotes healthy lifestyles and physical activity.  Projects range from edible playgrounds (vegetable patches), trampolines, trim trails and bicycles, to exercise mats, table tennis, basketball and rugby equipment.

Mark Southern, WPA’s Director of Sales and Marketing, said: “This is such an exciting partnership for everyone at WPA, our customers and beyond.  We are thrilled to be working with the Castle Race Series to help support people up and down the country in getting fitter, challenging themselves and improving their health and wellbeing. Of equal importance to us is our Foundation’s commitment to help promote healthy activity in children, so the decision to also support the Schools Roadshow pretty much made itself.”

Castle Race Series Race Director, Brian Adcock said: “We are thrilled to be working with WPA for the 2023 season. Junior engagement in the sport is incredibly important to us. To help build triathlon for future years, it is essential we encourage people from a young age to take part and to help break down barriers to entry where possible. We believe working with WPA for the next race season will help rebuild the foundations of junior triathlon participation that was partially lost due to the pandemic. Partnering with companies like WPA, that share our core beliefs and ideas, is fundamental for our future success.”
