Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) recently welcomed 1,600 pupils across its three campuses (Bridgwater, Taunton, and Cannington) for a taster day, providing them with a first-hand experience of the college’s comprehensive curriculum and the supportive environment it offers to its students.
The visit aimed to showcase the wide array of educational opportunities available at BTC, giving pupils a glimpse into the college’s vibrant atmosphere and highlighting the essential pastoral elements of college life.
The event aimed to inspire and inform the attendees about the benefits and possibilities that lie ahead in their academic journey.
Throughout the visit pupils had the opportunity to engage with BTC’s extensive curriculum, which spans a range of subjects from engineering to agriculture, the international baccalaureate to nursing and art & design to business.
BTC offers a diverse selection of options tailored to meet the varied interests and career aspirations of its students.
Additionally, the pupils gained invaluable insights into the supportive framework that BTC provides to its student body, hearing about college’s commitment to nurturing the personal development and wellbeing of each individual, emphasising the availability of pastoral care, guidance and support services to ensure a positive college experience.
Kelly Thorne, Marketing Manager of Bridgwater & Taunton College, said: “We were thrilled to host such a significant number of pupils from our local community and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to witness first-hand the breadth of our curriculum and the outstanding support we offer to our students.
Our aim is to empower young individuals, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future education and career paths.”
The taster day not only provided a chance for the pupils to explore the various academic and pastoral aspects of college life but also encouraged them to envision themselves as part of the vibrant BTC community.
