Huish student cuts off hair for charity

Richard Huish College student, Cora Edwards, has had her hair chopped off in a courageous move to help raise money for St Margaret’s Hospice and to donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs out of real hair to gift to young people who are battling with illness.

The former Castle School pupil has been growing her hair since the age of five but felt it was the right moment for a change and having volunteered at St Margaret’s Hospice for a few months felt it would be a great opportunity to help raise money for a good cause. She received help and motivation from her classmates who were in charge of preparing and cutting off the hair for donation.

Cora has already smashed her initial target of £500 in donations for St Margaret’s Hospice but every donation makes a difference and there is still time to donate using the link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/cora-edwards1 .
