Bridgwater & Taunton College is joining forces with Somerset Council, Business West and WEAF to help employers explore the benefits of building their team through T Level placements and apprenticeships.
The Connecting Somerset Businesses with Tomorrow’s Workforce event will take place at the Firepool Centre for Digital Innovation on Wednesday, December 4, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
It will be an opportunity to meet students who are already working on a range of innovative projects and to find out first-hand how they can bring fresh ideas to a business.
There will also be information about accessing funding for hot desking at the Firepool centre to support business growth for those who are self-employed or working from home.
Experts will also be available to discuss finding the right student for a business and how T Levels and apprenticeships work.
This will include detailed information of T Level placements and apprenticeships, steps on how to get started and funding opportunities available to businesses.
An event spokesperson said: “Discover how T Level placements, apprenticeships, and internships—especially in digital technology, manufacturing, and engineering—can add value to your business today and into the future.
“With industry-aligned training, students graduate are ready to meet real-world demands. By partnering with educational institutions, you may also unlock financial incentives to support these placements.”
Businesses operating in the digital, technology, advanced engineering, or aerospace sectors can also access additional support and collaboration opportunities through the Somerset Innovation Network.
The network connects Somerset’s leading innovation hubs, including iAero in Yeovil and the Firepool Centre in Taunton, with tailored support, workshops and networking to foster collaboration, growth and innovation.
