Clarke Willmott moves into new Bristol office

Clarke Willmott has taken occupation of the top two floors – 15,624 sq ft in total – of the new 11-storey grade A space, which occupies a prime location on Bristol’s Floating Harbour, in the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.

The new office is designed for hybrid working and accommodates both remote and in-person working. It features more collaboration spaces, including a relaxed client suite and a colleague business lounge, a communal kitchen area, quiet zones and meeting rooms.

The move to Assembly C also plays a vital role in Clarke Willmott’s commitment to sustainability. The building has been given an energy efficiency rating of A which will help the firm deliver on its commitment to achieving net zero by 2040, subject to validation by SBTi, the Science Based Targets initiative.

The electricity supply is 100 percent renewable, thanks to Clarke Willmott’s use of the Bristol Heat Network, an innovative underground network which reduces carbon emissions by delivering low-carbon heat and energy throughout the city.

Peter Swinburn, CEO of Clarke Willmott, said that the move strengthens the firm’s commitment to becoming more sustainable as well as supporting our way of working.

“We now have a space that offers the very best experience for clients and colleagues at a scale that supports our successful blend of in-person and remote working. Furthermore, the building’s design aligns with our ESG goals, including reaching net zero by 2040.

“It’s a tremendously exciting time for Clarke Willmott. Last year we opened a new purpose-built office in Birmingham, as well as unveiling a major refurbishment of our Taunton office and later this year we will also be opening a new Cardiff office in Callaghan Square.

“As the firm marks its 135th anniversary, our new Bristol home is a true reflection of our commitment to honouring the past while building for the future.”

Assembly Building C is being developed by AXA IM Alts’ real estate platform, alongside Bell Hammer as the development partner. The construction company on the project was PCE Ltd. and the fit-out was carried out by Alteriors Design & Build Ltd. and Estilo Interiors.

Clarke Willmott is a national law firm with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton. For further information visit www.clarkewillmott.com
