Regional chartered accountancy firm Albert Goodman has welcomed a new partner to their Business Recovery and Insolvency team, Dan James, bringing 20 years of insolvency and restructuring experience.
Dan joins the firm from Begbies Traynor where he was a partner for 18 months. He has worked with a broad range of business sizes and sectors at some of the UK’s top 20 accountancy firms and his experience in all formal types of insolvency including business turnaround, accelerated business sale processes, voluntary arrangement and close down/liquidation situations aligns perfectly to his partnership role.
This latest appointment brings the partnership board to 18 partners with a 50%/50% female to male split. Dan will work alongside Laurence Russell, the firm’s Insolvency Practitioner, at the firm’s headquarters in Taunton.
Dan James, Partner at Albert Goodman, said: “Having worked with a number of top accountancy firms, it’s exciting to join Albert Goodman at a time they have been voted the best accountancy firm to work for in the UK.
“Working with SMEs to guide and advise them at a crucial time in their business cycle is something I really enjoy and I’m looking forward to getting to know Albert Goodman’s portfolio of clients to continue this value-added work.”
Iain McVicar, Managing Partner at Albert Goodman, added: “We are making further investments in our leadership team as the business continues to grow. Appointing Dan in a specialised area will help us expand our business recovery and insolvency side of the business as we see an increased demand from the fallout of Covid. We look forward to working with Dan and extend a huge welcome to him.”
