Wiveliscombe-based water and wastewater engineering business WCI celebrated its 41st birthday this month. Such a milestone provides a chance to reflect on four decades in business.
Opening the doors in 1983, WCI comprised a small team working as an Entec representative and drawing on years of oversees work in the Middle East. They began with a core offering, namely the installation of private wastewater systems.
Over the years, they have added new services, embraced technological advancements and broadened their expertise to cover potable water as well as ‘dirty’ water. Today, WCI is an integrated solutions provider offering a service team, asset audits, engineering services and consulting engineering as well as a rapidly expanding Nutrient Neutrality division.
They have celebrated numerous achievements that reflect their growth and success. They have been recognised with industry awards for excellence in service and innovation. Their employees have participated in professional development programmes, earning certifications and accolades that enhance their collective expertise.
WCI has collaborated with charities, local community groups and lobbied on behalf of the wastewater sector. And they have also celebrated milestones such as the recent landmark agreement with Somerset Council to provide septic tank upgrades as phosphate credits.
Although so much has changed for the business, today WCI remains a trusted family-run business continuing to find ways to make a positive impact on our environment and society. For all enquiries, please contact enquiries@wci.co.uk or 01984 623404, www.wci.co.uk.
