Taunton School has appointed Jennifer Taylor as its new Head of Sixth Form.
Jennifer joined the Taunton School Science Department in 2022 from the British International School in Chicago, USA, where she was Head of IBDP with responsibility for the academic progress and pastoral wellbeing of Year 12 and Year 13 students. Jennifer has now progressed to Head of Sixth Form at Taunton School, a role she will begin in September 2024.
In her new role as Head of Sixth Form at Taunton School, Jennifer will oversee the pastoral and academic wellbeing of students in the Sixth Form, ensuring each student has an exceptional experience and reaches their potential both pastorally and academically.
Jennifer commented: “I am excited to take on a role that centres around the student experience.
“Ensuring that every Sixth Form student has a unique and memorable experience at Taunton School whilst feeling supported for the years to come is foundational to the overall success of our Sixth Form, and this is something I am very much looking forward to embracing.”
Before teaching in the US and at Taunton School, Jennifer studied Geology at Bristol University, having gained her A-Levels at Richard Huish College in Taunton. She is currently completing a Masters in Educational Leadership.
Taunton School Sixth Form is a well-established, independent further education facility which uniquely offers four pathways to higher education: A-Levels, BTEC, International Foundation Year and the International Baccalaureate.
