Summerfield Homes has handed over 11 new homes in time for Christmas on its development at Liddymore Park, Watchet to Somerset community- based affordable housing provider, SHAL Housing.
The new affordable homes are located on the first section of Phase One at Liddymore Park and comprise one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Each property benefits from air source heat pumps providing a renewable energy source, allocated parking and 10 of these homes have their own enclosed gardens.
Liddymore Park is a short distance from the Knights Templar First School and within easy reach of Watchet town centre and other local amenities. Each new home on the development has been carefully designed to incorporate the latest energy efficient features with the aim of reducing running costs and offering a great place to live for years to come.
Handing over the completed homes to Lee Martin-Scull from SHAL, Mark Woodland, projects manager at Summerfield Homes, said: “We are pleased to handover these much-needed homes to an association that works to provide safe, warm and affordable housing across the county.
“As a business we are proud to deliver quality new homes for local people, helping create new communities in sought after locations across the South West.”
Taking on the homes, Lee said: “It’s great to have the first eleven affordable properties handed over and we look forward to welcoming families to their new homes in time for Christmas. We are pleased to have worked with Summerfield Homes on this project and we thank the site team for delivering a great environment for our tenants.”
