South West housebuilder, Summerfield Homes, is delighted to have been given the green light by Somerset Council for the latest phase of its development at Liddymore Park, Watchet, and will begin work soon.
Summerfield Homes already had outline consent for 250 new homes on this site, 57 of which have completed so far, and applied for approval of detailed aspects of the remainder. 
Among the elements considered and approved by Somerset Council were access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale.
Councillors agreed with the case officer that the next phase of the development would deliver much needed new affordable and open market housing on a well-designed scheme.
The scheme comprises a range of homes including two, three and four bedroom houses and bungalows. All homes benefit from private parking and are all backed by a ten-year NHBC warranty.
