SUEZ offers simpler recycling as new legislation looms for business

Simpler recycling is nearly here – and SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is already helping businesses comply ahead of a significant change in recycling legislation coming into force on March 31 this year.

From that date, businesses and organisations in England with 10 or more employees will be required to separate food waste and recycling collections from their black bag waste.

Businesses with fewer than 10 employees will have until March 2027 to comply.

Training plays a critical role in embedding new recycling habits into workplace routines. A well-informed business can confidently sort waste, reduce contamination and identify ways to reduce waste.

SUEZ’s clear guidance and practical workshops tailored to businesses’ needs can make recycling simple, accessible and sustainable. Its free on-site audits take the guesswork out of compliance.

Apart from analysing waste management processes, SUEZ also identifies areas for improvement and recommends practical solutions, like identifying the right containers and optimising collection schedules.

Simpler recycling is a good opportunity to embed sustainable practices in the workplace, helping businesses avoid unnecessary waste disposal costs.

The new legislation is introduced to bring consistency into home and workplace recycling, helping businesses and organisations across Somerset adopt more effective practices.

Firmly anchored on its triple bottom line of people, planet and profit, SUEZ teams are on hand to guide customers helping them navigate the new simpler recycling reforms. In the long-term, compliance will lead to further reduction in pollution and landfill waste.

Visit Suez’s simpler recycling page for more information or telephone 0800 083 0504.
