Bridgwater-based infrastructure services company, RK Bell Group, has announced the launch of a new dedicated division, RK Bell Highways, alongside a significant expansion of its Bridgwater headquarters.
The strategic move follows the group’s continued growth, including the acquisition of Gworks Surfacing Ltd in 2023.
The new highways division has been created to meet rising demand for highways infrastructure delivery across Somerset, Wiltshire and the wider South West.
It enhances the group’s capacity to support public sector frameworks and Tier 1 contractors with both planned and reactive highways services including drainage, patching, carriageway surfacing and public realm improvements. 
To accommodate this expansion, the company has invested in a brand-new mezzanine office floor at its Bridgwater HQ, creating space for new staff and project teams.
The expansion expects to create around 50 new roles, spanning both site operatives and support functions in the coming months.

The new division is led by Andy Emmett FIHE, a highways professional with over 25 years of experience delivering both reactive works and larger highways schemes for local authorities and major contractors.
The highways division is currently already active on live projects across Somerset and Wiltshire.
As part of a wider integrated offering, RK Bell Highways works alongside the group’s established surfacing, civil engineering, plant hire, transport and waste/recycling operations, enabling fully integrated infrastructure delivery from one regional base.
