Milsted Langdon's Ed Mole wins national payroll award

Milsted Langdon, one of the South West’s leading independent accountancy firms, has announced that Payroll Manager Ed Mole has won the Emerging Leader Award at this year’s ABM Awards.

The awards recognise excellence across the payroll and bureau management profession. Judges praised the quality of entries received, with Ed’s submission standing out as one of the strongest examples of emerging talent in the sector.

The award followed a formal interview process with the judging panel, with the winner announced at the Bureau Management Conference held at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.

Ed supports Milsted Langdon’s payroll function, providing compliance and advisory support to the firm’s payroll clients. He also manages a dedicated payroll team and provides guidance on payroll matters across the business.

Ed said: “I’m really proud to have won this award. Payroll can be a demanding profession and I get a lot of satisfaction from solving problems for clients and getting the detail right on complex projects, so it means a great deal to have that recognised.

“We are growing and developing an exceptional team of payroll experts at Milsted Langdon and I am glad to be playing a part in our success.

“This couldn’t have come at a better time as we, as a profession, celebrate the importance of payroll as part of National Payroll Week.”

Since joining the firm, Ed has completed AAT Levels 2 and 3 alongside the CIPP Advanced Payroll Technician qualification and is now studying towards his AAT Level 4 qualification.

During his time at Milsted Langdon, he has gained significant experience and become a valued member of the team, supporting a growing portfolio of clients with payroll and compliance matters.

Martin Johnson, General Practice Partner at Milsted Langdon, said: “Ed’s win in the Emerging Leader category is thoroughly deserved. He has shown real dedication to the team and clients he supports, and this recognition reflects brilliantly on both him and the wider payroll team.”
