Hockey sticks clashed and shin pads were dusted off as Porter Dodson hosted its second annual Taunton Professionals Charity Hockey Tournament at King’s College, Taunton.
The local business community came together for an action-packed afternoon, raising vital funds for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity.
Seven teams representing firms from across Taunton – including AC Mole, Albert Goodman, Cooper Associates, Greenslade Taylor Hunt, Milsted Langdon, Stags and Porter Dodson – competed fiercely throughout the tournament.
After a series of exciting matches, the final showdown saw Milsted Langdon take on Porter Dodson (pictured), with Milsted Langdon emerging victorious as the 2024 champions.
Alongside the thrilling matches, participants supported the charity by purchasing raffle tickets and enjoying a well-earned barbecue after the games. In total, the event raised over £780 for the Bristol Children’s Hospital, with plans already in place to make next year’s tournament even bigger and better.
A spokesperson for Porter Dodson said: “A huge thank you to King’s College, Taunton, for hosting us, and to all the teams and players who contributed to making the day such a success.”
