It’s been a winning 25th anniversary year for Hippychick in 2024! The Somerset-based company is delighted to announce an unprecedented 14 award wins this year, not only for its range of premium nursery accessories and luxury gifts, but also for its prowess in trade relations.
Hippychick now boasts over 1,500 items in its portfolio and in recognition of its commitment to its trade customers, Hippychick was thrilled to pick up the coveted award for Best Wholesaler/Distributor at the annual Progressive Preschool Awards last week, an accolade Hippychick has achieved four times already in its 25-year history!
The Good Housekeeping Institute, an organisation that has been putting various products through their paces as Britain’s consumer champion for 95 years, has recently introduced a new parenting category to the mix. Hippychick’ s versatile feeding pillow was awarded ‘Best Nursing Pillow’, scoring 91/100 in the pregnancy pillows category.
On top of this, Hippychick has racked up a further 13 awards, including a Gold for its Bumbo Multi Seat from Junior Magazine in the Junior Design Awards and a Gold for its Tum Tum Weaning Sets from parenting platform, MadeForMums.
Hippychick is also well renowned within the community for its charity fundraising efforts and this anniversary year, has so far raised £2.5k for Love Musgrove, with further events including an auction for gifts donated by two of Hippychick’ s suppliers, Vilac and Classic World, planned in December.
Julia Minchin, Hippychick Founder and Managing Director, said: “There’s no doubt it’s a tough trading environment at the moment, with the continuing squeeze on the cost of living.
“But thanks to the hard work and commitment of our incredible team, Hippychick continues to triumph, even bucking the trend in its anniversary year, tracking 10% growth year on year to the trade.
“We’ve always loved doing what we do but this award is the most rewarding of all as it is voted for by the retailers themselves – they have always been at the heart of our business and this is fabulous recognition for the whole team!”
