Edward Martin Computer Services (EMCS) has won the Best Placement Employer Award in the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards 2022 in recognition for providing the highest quality work experience.
EMCS, which is based in Williton, welcomed Charlotte as a placement student from Bridgwater & Taunton College last September to help the company’s online activities.
Over the course of several months she helped the firm develop an eBay income stream which has proved to be very successful.
She soon developed to become a confident member of the team and, since completing her placement, Charlotte has continued to work at EMCS, helping customers to solve their IT challenges.
Charlotte herself was a finalist in the Best Placement Student in the Somerset Education Business Partnership’s Awards and in the same category at Bridgwater & Taunton College’s awards.
Paul Griffiths, of EMCS, said: “We are all very humbled to be recognised in this way for doing what we feel is the right thing.”
