Co-working firm BLOCK opens vibrant workspace at Blackbrook Business Park in Taunton

Premium co-working space, BLOCK Taunton, has officially opened its doors to a new site at Blackbrook Business Park, in Taunton, in response to a demand for hybrid and flexible working.

Data published last year by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported that 85% of employees currently working from home want a ‘hybrid’ approach of both home and office working in the future.

The new and modern co-working business, based just off the M5, features 27 private cellular offices developed to a high-quality specification, plus various co-working spaces, giving members the ability to work flexibly in stylish surroundings with plenty of networking and collaboration opportunities.

Membership packages include 24-hour access, meeting room hire, kitchen facilities, complimentary refreshments, regular member events, free parking and many other perks. BLOCK’s dog-friendly offices provide flexible memberships designed to fit around the way members want to work, with monthly contracts and access to all BLOCK sites. All bills, including high speed internet access and utilities are covered within the membership fee, so members can focus on their teams and business.

BLOCK Taunton is the vision of South West businessman, Ben Cheriton, of Cheriton Group Ltd: “Establishing a culture in a business is more important than ever, particularly since so many employees primarily work from home.

“Despite the flexibility of working from home, there are times when remote workers struggle to manage their work-life balance. A survey by intranet pioneers, Oak Engage, found that half (50%) of remote workers feel more isolated and lonely working from home.

“We feel that coworking spaces are considerably more socially fulfilling than other third space locations, and BLOCK supports businesses that want to place wellbeing, connectivity and collaboration at the heart of their workspace offering.

“We have created a hub that businesses can be proud to call their own, in an environment that inspires creativity and productivity. We are providing stylish, vibrant workspaces with community and collaboration at its core. The offering allows people to work as they want to, instead of, or in addition to, home working.”

One of the first businesses making BLOCK Taunton its new home is digital marketing professional services, Connectable South West Ltd.

Hope Cridge, Operations Manager and SEO Specialist, said: “We chose to locate our office at BLOCK Taunton after visiting the premises for a networking event. We immediately fell in love with the sleek, modern and professional vibe that BLOCK has created with the stunning décor, facilities and staff.

“The location of BLOCK Taunton is perfect for both our employees and our clients, just off J25, and is close to local amenities. Another big selling point for us was the abundance of free parking on site, not something you get with most offices spaces in Taunton!”
