Two Somerset Chamber members who were introduced through the Chamber, have worked together to secure the vital funding needed for expansion.
David Baum, Regional Managing Director of ABL South West, was introduced to GA Helliar & Sons by the Chamber and met with Garry Helliar, the company managing director, to get a better understanding of the business and see how ABL could help.
Following a finance discovery and delivery process, David carried out a thorough assessment of the company’s requirement for finance and what they wanted to achieve, before getting to work to secure them the best commercial finance facility.
David called on South West Investment Group to secure an undisclosed asset finance facility through the Recovery Loan Scheme, which meant the funder was able to be as flexible as possible for the client.
Finance was quickly arranged, and the new state-of-the-art ironing line was delivered to GA Helliar & Sons in August this year.
GA Helliar & Son, is a Somerset based domestic and commercial cleaning company. With over 80 years’ experience, the company deals with all aspects of the cleaning industry – from cleaning carpets to washing windows, and everything in between.
Due to increasing demand for their commercial laundry services, the company needed to purchase an industrial ironing line to dramatically reduce the time taken to process bed linen, napkins and table linen as part of their large-scale commercial laundry service.
Garry said: “I was very impressed with the expertise and knowledge of ABL. They helped me to arrange the right type of finance for what the business was looking to purchase and worked quickly and thoroughly during the process.
“We now have the industrial iron we need to increase our capacity as we continue to grow.”
ABL South West is a fully-independent commercial finance consultancy which adds value through partnerships. The company provides strategic, operational, and tactical support to UK businesses and has access to lenders across the market.
