With its unique collection of historic, rare and valuable vehicles, Haynes Motor Museum is guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained over the May Half Term (May 27 – June 4), whatever the weather.
Brand new this year is ‘Brick Week’ where budding young vehicle designers are invited to devise their own mini modes of transport using a mix of colourful Lego bricks and wheels at pit stop stations dotted throughout the museum.
Visitors can be inspired by the Museum’s amazing collection of two, three and four-wheeled vehicles to create their very own machine and add it to a pop-up mini museum on display in the museum entrance for the day.
For additional inspiration there’s a special parade of weird and wonderful cars in the museum’s outdoor show area.
Marvel at a range of cars and bikes in all shapes and sizes including an Auto Rickshaw, the Heinkel Bubble Car, an AA motorcycle and sidecar and the iconic Dodge Charger.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see under the bonnet of these special motors and maybe even sit behind the wheel in the driver’s seat.
The museum’s much-loved explorer trail will also be available for visitors to take part in alongside the Brick Week activities.
Haynes Motor Museum is home to the UK’s biggest exhibition of cars and motorbikes dating from 1900 up to the present day. Open 10am daily. For more information call 01963 440804 or visit www.haynesmusuem.org
