Blueloop’s Senserity risk platform wins innovation award at Ignite Somerset

Blueloop Limited’s due diligence and risk intelligence tool, Senserity, has been named a winner in a competition run by Exeter University’s Somerset Innovation Hub at the recent Ignite Somerset event, held at the Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford.

Ignite Somerset brought together founders and innovators from across the region, including back-to-back founder stories from Rookwood Operations Ltd, Cardstream and Forceteck. The hub had a stand at the event and hosted a competition inviting entrants to capture their business’s “onlyness” – what makes them genuinely distinctive. Julie Grant, representing Blueloop and Senserity, was named the worthy winner and received a new tablet as her prize.

Senserity takes serious risk and due diligence tools – the kind typically reserved for large enterprises with dedicated compliance teams and big budgets – and makes them genuinely accessible and affordable for small and medium-sized businesses. For SMEs who need to check out suppliers, customers or partners but don’t have the resources of a large corporate, Senserity offers a practical, cost-effective way to carry out that due diligence with confidence.

The university’s innovation hub offers practical support for startups and SMEs who want to turn strong ideas into thriving businesses. Support is fully-funded by Somerset Council and delivered by the university’s business innovation team.

Judges praised the entry for showing exactly the kind of clear thinking about a business’s “onlyness” that the competition set out to find: a sharp, well-articulated answer to the question of what makes Senserity different, and why that matters for the SMEs it serves.

Ignite Somerset was run in partnership with Somerset Chamber of Commerce, Somerset Council and NatWest and highlighted the breadth of innovation taking place across the county.

Blueloop said it was delighted to see Senserity recognised and thanked everyone for their support.
