Bath law firm Stone King recognises in-house talent with promotions

Bath law firm Stone King has promoted seven of its lawyers across its key sectors, as well as an HR consultant and five members of operational staff across multiple offices.

Katharine Robinson, in the firm’s employment team, has been promoted to senior associate. Katharine trained at Stone King, qualifying as a solicitor in 2019, and has experience with a wide range of employment law issues, specialising in the education sector. Also in the employment team, Ollie Daw has been promoted to associate.

Alongside the employment team, Stone King has a team of experienced HR consultants who work closely with the firm’s lawyers, providing clients with their expert advice and practical guidance on HR issues. Within this team, Baljinder Nizzer has been promoted to principal HR consultant.

Stone King’s dispute resolution team has also seen two promotions: Elle McDonald and Zoë Libman have both been promoted to associate. Further promotions to associate within the firm also include Ryan Butterworth in the commercial property team, Samuel Dowgill in the charity and social enterprise team and Jacob Howell-Jones in the public and regulatory team.

In the finance team, there have been two promotions to senior revenue controller, Tracey Hipkiss and Jennifer Smith, while Jane Simmonds in the risk and compliance team has been promoted to risk and compliance officer. Francis Jemiol is now business development manager, while the HR team has seen Joshua Ward promoted to an HR data analyst.

Vicky Brackett (pictured), CEO of Stone King, says: “Congratulations to our recently promoted employees. I’m absolutely delighted to see such a strong group of colleagues recognised in this latest round of promotions. These appointments not only celebrate individual excellence but also highlight the firm’s strategic growth in our key sectors.

“Our promotions also reflect the vital role our business support teams play in the success of our firm. Their contribution is integral to our growth and client service. Our people are the heart of Stone King, and their development and progression remains a top priority as we continue to build for the future.”

Stone King, which is a national firm with offices in Bath, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, London and Manchester, is top-ranked by independent legal guides Chambers and The Legal 500, and is also rated by The Times as a Best Law Firm for 2025. It has built a reputation for excellence amongst both private and commercial clients, and it is a national leader in the charity, faith and education sectors.
