Animal charity appeals for votes to secure £5,000 grant

Ferne Animal Sanctuary is appealing for support to be in with the chance of winning a £5,000 grant in a charity giveaway.

The Movement for Good campaign, organised by The Benefact Group, includes an animals and wildlife special draw to support the work of charities dedicated to animal and wildlife welfare.

This week (February 17 -12), Ferne Animal Sanctuary is inviting people to nominate their favourite animal and wildlife charities for the chance to receive a £5,000 grant.

Ten charities will receive support. For Ferne, the funding would make a life-saving difference to animals in need:

• £50 provides first vaccinations for a dog or a warm bed for an abandoned puppy
• £100 feeds four cats for a month while they wait for new homes
• £500 covers monthly veterinary costs for large farm animals
• £1,000 funds an incubator to nurse sick animals back to health
