Amarin Rubber & Plastics is going electric! The firm’s environmental impact has always been something the team has sought to reduce and minimise and in recent years they have donated materials to a local children’s charity to reduce landfill waste. Now the company has taken the exciting step to move its sales team to electric vehicles.
Managing Director, Ian Howells and Sales Director, Alex Howells, signed a deal with local MG dealer Howards Motor Group to purchase two new MG4 Trophy Long Range electric vehicles.
With delivery imminent this will reduce Amarin’s emissions from the sales team to zero having previously used diesel cars.
Alex said: “We have been very conscience for some time of our diesel usage. It is not something we take lightly and having done a large amount of research on EVs. We’re very happy to be able to purchase two MG4s. It is a lovely car and most importantly has a tremendous effect on our environmental impact. Amarin is going electric!”.
Amarin plans to install charging points at the premises in Weston-super-Mare. Managing Director Ian added: “This is a long-term investment in the future direction of the company. Hopefully the team will find the cars to give them everything they need while helping us move away from the diesel cars of the past.”
