For the first time in its 21 years history, Amarin Rubber & Plastics Ltd, will be sponsoring an athlete for the coming season.
Tommy Nappier (pictured) has recently joined the Bristol Honda Pitbulls ice hockey team as starting goaltender after a stellar career in the USA, where he scored a host of top accolades.
Following his college career Tommy joined the five time NHL Stanley Cup champions, Pittsburgh Penguins, as part of their development setup.
At 6’3″ tall and weighing in at an impressive 220lbs, 26-year-old Tommy is sure to make an instant impact in the new look Pitbulls line up.
Amarin Managing Director, Alex Howells, is a season ticket holder at the Pitbulls: “As a big fan of the team and the sport, I’ve wanted to get involved for a while now.
“Amarin’s profile is growing and something like this is an exciting way of taking that to another level.
“When the Pitbulls announced the signing of Tommy Nappier for this season I knew this was the one. I think Tommy has potential to be not only Pitbulls Player of the Season but also a league Player of the Season. He’s a special talent.”
Tommy will wear the number 37 jersey for the Bristol Honda Pitbulls this season. His jersey will carry Amarin’s logo and when he is announced on game nights at “The Pound” Amarin will be announced, too.
In additional the Pitbulls’ large social media presence will carry Amarin’s name, products and services to a much bigger audience.
“We are very happy to be associated with the team and look forward to an exciting season for the team and Amarin,” Alex added.
