Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards 2022 to launch in association with Barclays

Somerset Education Business Partnership is delighted to announce Barclays as the headline sponsor of the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards 2022.

Now in their third year, the awards will once again showcase the people and organisations who are developing Somerset’s future talent pipeline.

Entries and nominations are welcome from the many businesses and education providers who have inspired the next generation. The Awards dinner is set to take place on the evening of July 14, 2022, at the Canalside in Bridgwater.

The partnership is also looking forward to hearing from the young people who have overcome barriers to progress in their careers.

Joanna Whitehead, Chairman of Somerset Education Business Partnership, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Barclays as the headline sponsor for the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards. Barclays’ ‘Rebuilding Thriving Local Economies’ initiative shines a spotlight on Somerset and the value of partnership working – while their Barclays LifeSkills programme is helping our young people to develop the skills they need to access jobs in the future.”

Nick Porter, Business Banking Regional Manager, Somerset and Lead for Barclays Rebuilding Thriving Local Economies in Taunton Deane, added: “Barclays is delighted to support this year’s Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards. We encourage as many local businesses and education providers to enter as possible and use this platform to showcase their outstanding work helping young people seize local employment opportunities.  The exceptional work in this area is vital not only for the regional economy but the future business success of Somerset.  We wish everyone the best of luck with their nomination.”
