Entries are in for the Somerset Business Awards 2023 - and the shortlisting begins!

Thank you to everyone who entered the Somerset Business Awards 2023 – we have been amazed by the huge number of entries, especially when businesses are facing such tough trading conditions.

A big thank you to our judges and sponsors, too, who now have the unenviable task of reading through all the entries and coming up with a shortlist of businesses, charities and organisations to visit.

Somerset Business Awards launch at Hurds Hill

The shortlisted businesses will be contacted on Wednesday, December 14, and will be announced on the Somerset Business Awards and Somerset Chamber websites and on our socials, too.

From there, the judges will be in touch with the shortlisted businesses to arrange a visit before Wednesday, February 8.

The finalists will then be announced on Tuesday, February 14. And the big date for your diary – Friday, March 24, the date of the grand final hosted by BBC journalist and presenter Claire Carter at the Winter Gardens Pavilion in Weston-super-Mare!

Emma Rawlings, Chief Executive of Somerset Chamber, thanked everyone who had entered and supported the 2023 awards and said: “We’re looking forward to finding out which businesses have been shortlisted and hearing from our judges about the many great companies and charities we have in Somerset.

“The Somerset Business Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate everything that is great about your team, especially when trading conditions are so challenging, so thank you to everyone who has taken the time to submit an entry.”
