Country house owners Dave and Roz Young have taken delivery of a hamper of Somerset produce after winning the latest Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) prize draw.
The couple own Model Farm Country House, near Wembdon, and were chosen at random from everyone who completed the Q3 business survey.
Dave said: “I was impressed to hear that I had won a hamper from the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, for taking part in your survey. I was even more impressed when the hamper arrived, it really has the wow factor!
“I have since been in touch with Chris from The Hamper Guys, who supplied the hamper, and asked them to provide a similar hamper for me to give to the guests we have staying at Model Farm Country House this Christmas.
“I’m sure they will be as pleased as I was to have such a lovely hamper and hopefully, they will decide to book again for another year!”
Model Farm Country House offers space for business meetings, away days or overnight stays mid-week in its orangery function room, which can cater for up to 35 people.
The house itself can be let to self-catering groups of up to 25 people, with 10 double/family bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two kitchen/diners, a large lounge and a 55sq m function room.
Outside there are four acres of landscaped gardens, lawns for football, croquet, cricket or similar, plus a barbecue area and a hot tub!
