Business profile
The Wessex Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association is an independent ‘not-for-profit’ supporting & promoting the 3000 Reservists & 14,000 Cadets across the SW, as well as providing support and assistance to the employers of Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
Wessex RFCA engage with employers, business organisations, youth organisations, local government, MPs, the media, the general public and other influential groups to promote the Reserves and Cadets across the area, as well as others in the Armed Forces population including Service Leavers and Spouses.
We work to improve understanding between society and the Armed Forces, and of the contribution made to the community, economy and in employment, through the Armed Forces Covenant.
Most importantly we ensure the outstanding contribution, made by the volunteers of the Reserve and Cadet Forces, or in support by their Employers, is recognised and rewarded through the annual Lord-Lieutenant’s Award Ceremonies and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
