Somerset Chamber of Commerce is inviting members and non-members to attend our specialist forum, exclusively for marketing and communication professionals, sponsored by Tea Pot Creative.

In an ever-changing business and consumer landscape, finding effective ways to reach our target audience to maintain our competitive advantage is key to engaging with customers and to growing our organisations.
We are gathering leaders of in-house marketing teams together at Battens Solicitors, in Yeovil, to discuss key challenges and opportunities ahead for marketing professionals in our region.
This roundtable is specifically for those who lead in-house marketing functions in businesses – marketing managers, heads of marketing, marketing and comms directors and decision makers on behalf of businesses in our region. This forum is aimed at in-house marketing leaders only and attendance criteria applies (see below)*. Chaired by Robin Clempson, Director of Marketing at Albert Goodman, the purpose of this event is to build connections with like-minded professionals from a variety of businesses, share your business challenges, discuss any common growing pains and speak openly on issues affecting your business and seek solutions from other delegates. All discussions will be held in full confidence.
We are also delighted to be joined by Simon O'Mahony. Simon has held senior marketing roles at some of the largest multichannel (or is it omnichannel now) businesses in the Southwest. He learned his trade in agencies in Manchester where he first discovered his love for data and the thrill of a successful campaign. Moving to client side he has worked across a number of verticals in the retail distribution sector building his marketing expertise in the sweet spot between insight, data and communication. He has held board positions at Nisbets (a £300m, 10 country catering equipment business), Toolstation and National Timber Group as well as senior roles at Screwfix where he most recently held the Director of Marketing Communications position. He is now working in a fractional capacity as a board advisor and mentor.
He lives just outside Taunton with his wife and teenage son, is a basketball fan, semi-skilled DIYer and lover of good food (ideally cooked by someone else!)

There will be opportunities to network both before and after the discussions, however, this is not just a networking event. It’s an opportunity to share best practice and find solutions.
Thank you to our event sponsors Teapot.
