Somerset Chamber Summer Social

Join the Chamber team for a Summer Social, bringing members together for an evening of informal networking, great conversations and delicious food at Kings College, Taunton.
 
Set in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow professionals from across the region, strengthen existing relationships, and make valuable new contacts. Whether you're looking to grow your network, share ideas, or simply enjoy an evening with the local business community, this event offers the ideal setting to do so.

You will also get to enjoy a complimentary welcome drink on arrival, food and plenty of opportunities to mingle as we celebrate summer together. There will be plenty of free parking available at the college as the students will be on their summer holidays.

We are also delighted to welcome our Business Partner, Albert Goodman's iconic hot air balloon to this year's Somerset Chamber Summer Social.

Subject to suitable weather conditions, the balloon will be tethered on the grounds of King's College, where guests will have the opportunity to meet the pilot, learn more about the experience of hot air ballooning, and discover what it takes to get a balloon airborne.

If conditions permit, guests will also be invited to step into the balloon basket, providing a unique photo opportunity and a memorable highlight of the event. Please note that the hot air balloon display and guest access are entirely weather dependent and will only take place if conditions are safe for operation.

Bookings for this event will close 4pm on Thursday 16 July 2026. Please note refunds cannot be made in the event of cancellation after bookings have closed.
