QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) - Blended

The QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a nationally recognized qualification designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective first aid response in the workplace. This course features a balanced blend of:

  1. Online Learning (6 hours): The online component provides flexibility, allowing you to grasp the theoretical foundations of first aid at your own pace. Dive into topics such as understanding the role of a first aider, assessing incidents, and managing unresponsive casualties.
  2. In-Person Training (12 hours): The in-person phase, led by experienced instructors, focuses on practical skill development. From CPR and AED usage to managing workplace-specific incidents, this segment ensures you’re well-prepared for real-life situations.

This course traditionally is delivered over 3 days in person, however we are harnesing the power of blended learning to be able to deliver this with 6 hours online and only 2 days in person – giving you the same certification with only two days out of your normal work.

  1. First Aid Essentials: Understand the fundamental principles of first aid, including the responsibilities of a first aider and legal considerations.
  2. Assessment and Management of Incidents: Master the art of assessing and managing a variety of incidents, ensuring a swift and effective response.
  3. CPR and AED Usage: Develop confidence in providing Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in critical situations.
  4. Treatment of Minor Injuries: Learn to provide prompt and effective treatment for minor injuries commonly encountered in the workplace.
  5. Recognition and Management of Illness: Gain insights into identifying and managing workplace-related illnesses, ensuring the well-being of colleagues.
  6. Injury Recording and Reporting: Understand the importance of accurate record-keeping and reporting in the context of workplace incidents.

Is this suitable for the workplace?

Quick answer – yes! For the majority of low risk work environments this course is a requirement of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). You can read their information using this link about what to look for when looking for a provider to deliver first aid – https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/geis3.htm
