Testicular cancer charity It’s in the Bag Cancer Support is working on final preparations for this year’s Test Fest music festival which returns to Taunton RFC on Saturday, June 20.
Organisers said the music festival was the only one of its kind in the UK and year on year built strong relationships with councils, organisations and businesses in Somerset.
The family friendly festival showcasing local grassroots music is again being supported by Sheppy’s Cider and was given a grant from West Monkton Parish Council to fund children’s activities. New to the festival is real ale by Quantock Brewery and main sponsor NHS procurement business ebida.
Ebida Stage headliners The Barfoot Bandit will be joined by Wellington based Filta and Somerset based Revelation Roots. New bands include Nothing Rhymes With Orange and 3 Days of Wonder.
Sheppy’s Stage headliner Whiskey Embers and will be joined by St Fian, favourites Peck N Peck, Clevedon based Barnacle Buoys and Richard Huish Band Ultraviolet.
Adult tickets cost £35, youth tickets £20 and children 12 and under go free. There is camping and additional entertainment, too.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: “Most testicular cancer awareness campaigns focus on sport, colleges, universities and workplaces. However, stats reveal that young men are the largest group of attendees at music festivals, so why not focus on music to encourage awareness.”
It’s in the Bag Cancer Support is the only testicular cancer charity in the South West.
Camping is from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21 and is available for tents, campervans and motorhomes but not caravans. Find out more at testfest.org.uk.
