Albert Goodman advises on string of acquisitions for Finlight totalling £95m

South West accountancy firm Albert Goodman has announced it has advised Finlight on its acquisition of two operational solar sites, The Grange (50MW) in Nottinghamshire and South Lowfield (50MW) in Yorkshire, from NextEnergy Solar Fund.

This is the fourth significant acquisition project Albert Goodman has advised Finlight on, supporting its expansion in the renewable energy sector. With a total transaction value of £46m for this most recent deal, the firm supported on the financial, tax and VAT due diligence, including international elements.

Finlight (formerly Atranto Onsite Energy) is a pan European platform for financing, installing and operating renewable energy projects. Its purpose is to accelerate the transition towards a cleaner, more flexible and accessible energy model. This acceleration has been the catalyst for a string of acquisitions made in recent times, with Albert Goodman supporting the process with technical diligence, coupled with strong commercial judgement.

The transactions support Finlight’s continued investment in UK renewable infrastructure, helping to sustain operational solar assets located in regional areas and contributing to the long-term delivery of low carbon power. Target ownership in these transactions includes a number of multi-national, blue-chip companies.
