DHA Fire Stopping strengthens commitment to Weston beach race and rising motocross talent

Somerset-based DHA Fire Stopping has announced its largest commitment yet to the Weston Beach Race. Returning for a third consecutive year, as the event’s official Fire Training Partner and sponsor of all youth races, DHA is also backing one of last year’s standout young riders following his victory on Weston’s sands.

The announcement strengthens DHA’s connection to one of Weston-super-Mare’s most high-profile annual events. The Weston-based business will once again work alongside event organisers RHL Activities to support fire safety across the event, while continuing its commitment to the next generation of riders competing on Weston’s famous sands.

In addition to its event sponsorship, DHA is also supporting the 3 Flo Madison Crescent Yamaha bLU cRU team for the 2026 season, including backing rising young rider Preston ‘Bam Bam’ Chorley.

Bam Bam, 12, from Curload near Taunton, made headlines at last year’s Weston Beach Race with a standout victory in the sand and now steps up to the 85cc class as part of the Yamaha-backed team.

Founded by former 250cc World Championship Grand Prix racer Jeff Perrett, the 3 Flo Madison Crescent Yamaha team has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s most exciting youth motocross teams, with riders competing at both British and European championship level.

DHA’s expanded involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, promoting safety at large-scale events and encouraging young riders to develop and compete with confidence.

Dave Alsop, Managing Director at DHA Fire Stopping, said: “The Weston Beach Race is a fantastic event for the town and something we’re proud to support. This is our third year of involvement and our biggest commitment yet, particularly through the youth races.

We work closely with RHL Activities as Fire Training Partner to support safety across the event and it’s something we take real pride in. It’s also great to be backing young riders like Bam Bam as they develop and progress in the sport.”

The Weston Beach Race returns to Weston-super-Mare in October 2026, attracting thousands of riders, spectators and visitors to the town each year.

DHA Fire Stopping is a Weston-super-Mare-based business specialising in fire safety solutions and training, working with clients across the region and beyond.
