Bristol Airport Announces Children’s Hospice South West as new charity partner

Bristol Airport has announced Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) as its new official charity partner, marking the start of a meaningful partnership dedicated to supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the region.

The partnership will bring Bristol Airport staff together to raise vital funds and awareness for CHSW, which provides specialist care, respite, and support through its three hospices across the South West, offering a true “home-from-home” environment for children and their families.

Throughout the two-year partnership, Bristol Airport will support CHSW through a programme of fundraising activities, employee engagement initiatives, and awareness campaigns across the airport. Funds raised will help CHSW continue delivering essential care and support to babies, children, and young people, as well as offering vital assistance to families when they need it most.

Since launching the charity partner programme, Bristol Airport has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local good causes, helping fund vital services, community projects and support people in need. Between 2024 and 2025, Bristol Airport raised more than £210,000 through its two-year charity partnership with Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC). This amount was driven by a wide range fundraising events, including long-distance bike rides, an Airport Runway Run, charity golf days, and plane-spotting events.

Phil Morris, Chief Executive, Children’s Hospice South West, said: “Our partnership with Bristol Airport will make a real and lasting difference to the children and families we care for.

“Their two-year commitment provides vital support that will help us deliver compassionate, specialist care during some of the most challenging moments a family can face. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and proud to work together to raise the awareness and essential funds needed to ensure we are there for children and families when they need us most.”

Dave Lees, Chief Executive, Bristol Airport, added: “Children’s Hospice South West does incredible work supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families across our region.

“We are incredibly proud to support them as our Charity Partner and to play a small part in the vital care and comfort they provide. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to making a meaningful, positive difference, and we look forward to working together to help raise awareness, important funds and support for their invaluable work.”
