Somerset cidermaker scoops three gold awards

Harry’s Cider – a leading name in premium craft cider – is proud to announce that it has been awarded two gold medals for each of their entries at the Taste of the West Awards, and a further gold for their new perry, cementing their reputation for quality, innovation and craftsmanship.

The award-winning ciders include: Harry’s Sweet ‘No.8’ Traditional Cider – Gold TOTW; Harry’s Medium ‘Corker’ Traditional Cider – Gold TOTW; Harry’s Premium Sparkling Perry – Gold, Somerset Cider Championships.

Head Cidermaker, Toby Fry, said: “These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We strive to create ciders that reflect both tradition and creativity, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see our efforts recognised at one of the oldest Cider Championships in the Country.”

Each of the winning ciders showcases a unique blend of farm-pressed cider apples and perry pears, and expert fermentation techniques that highlight the rich flavours and aromas cider lovers crave.

The competitions—renowned for attracting the best cider makers from across the South West of England —feature blind tastings by expert judges, making these gold medals and class winning a significant honour.

Harry’s Perry has been carefully developed over several years and was launched earlier this year as a limited-edition premium addition to the Harry’s Cider range. It is only available from the cider shop and taproom in Long Sutton, alongside their full range of craft ciders, locally sourced beer, wine and gifts.

A spokesperson for the company said the awards were a reward for the Harry’s Cider team, following the opening of their new cider shop and taproom in April. More details at www.harryscidercompany.co.uk.
