Yeovil College has announced an Information evening dedicated to their University Centre, which will take place at the Mudford Road campus on Thursday 12th December, 5pm to 7pm.
The evening will give potential students the opportunity to discover the range of university-level qualifications available from the Yeovil based University Centre including Honours Degrees, Foundation Degrees, Postgraduate qualifications, Diplomas and Professional Certificates across all subject areas. It is the perfect opportunity for people to ask questions and find which qualification and level is right for them.
As seen from the recent graduation ceremony, the local university centre has supported its students to achieve some impressive qualifications, including the BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies, Care and Education and the BSc (Hons) on Social Work. Due to a high demand for a dedicated Higher Education information evening, people need to secure their place via the Yeovil College website.
The Yeovil College University Centre is partnered with the University of Plymouth and the University of Gloucestershire and offer a range of practical and academic qualifications in the heart of Yeovil. It gives a great opportunity for people to study locally and get a university-level qualification.
Mark Bolton, CEO & Principal of Yeovil College said: “We believe that the right university-level education opens doors and changes lives. There is hard evidence that studying and achieving Higher Education qualifications leads to greater levels of fulfilment and prosperity over a lifetime. We see our YCUC graduates secure their dream careers which inspires us to do the best we can. This information evening is a great chance for people to see how our University-level qualifications can support the next stage of their career.”
Based on official student surveys by the NSS in 2019, 100% of mature students agreed that their course at Yeovil College has challenged them to achieve their best work whilst 99% of students feel that Yeovil College is a safe place to learn.
There are at least six new programmes planned for September 2020, in areas such Education, Health, Manufacturing, Engineering and Digital Design, including a new HND in Policing, HND in International Travel and Tourism Management and HND in Sport (Coaching and Physical Activity), which sees the college partnered with Yeovil Town Football Club .”
