Somerset County Cricket Club is thrilled to announce health insurer, WPA, as the new Principal County Championship Partner.
Based only a few miles from the Cooper Associates County Ground, WPA looks after the healthcare of hundreds of thousands of people across the UK, from families to some of the UK’s most well-known companies.
This year marks WPA’s 120th anniversary and they are looking forward to celebrating a successful and winning partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club.
As well as being the Club’s Principal County Championship Partner, WPA will become Somerset CCC’s Official Health Insurance Partner and their logo will feature prominently on the front of Somerset’s County Championship shirt.
After announcing this new partnership, SCCC Chief Executive, Gordon Hollins, said: “We are delighted to be starting a new relationship with WPA. It is evident that they have a genuine passion for the region and work tirelessly to ensure their customers have the very best healthcare possible.
“Their continued commitment to delivering excellence for their clients, whether individuals or businesses, is impressive and we are confident that the partnership will deliver many benefits to Somerset County Cricket Club, our Members and wider supporters.
“Particularly in these difficult times, we are delighted that WPA will be joining our established and cherished group of partners who genuinely have the best interests of the South West and local people at heart.
“The County Championship is the Holy Grail for Somerset Members and supporters. It is the competition that everyone wants to win. After coming so close to claiming that cherished prize in the last two years we hope that we can make history in 2021 with WPA at our side.”
Nathan Irwin, WPA’s Chief Executive, added: “We are hugely excited to be partnering with Somerset County Cricket Club. Everyone at WPA wishes the team and their members and supporters the best of luck for the season ahead.”
