Somerset County Cricket Club will once again be working in partnership with Nuffield Health in 2021. The two organisations have an outstanding working relationship which has developed and evolved over the last few years.
Nuffield Health, who have a hospital in Staplegrove and a Fitness and Wellbeing Centre situated in the centre of Taunton, will continue to operate as an Official Club Partner and Supplier for at least another 12 months.
As SCCC’s Official Training Wear Partner, the Nuffield Health logo will once again feature prominently on the club’s training kit, while the Somerset players will continue to be able to access the Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre to help with their training programmes. The hospital will also continue to work with Somerset CCC Head of Science & Medicine, Jamie Thorpe with regard to player rehabilitation.
SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert, said: “We are delighted that this important partnership has been extended. Health and wellbeing are at the absolute core of what both our organisations hold dear.
“The facilities at Nuffield Health are outstanding, and we are indebted to them for allowing our players and coaches access to this vital resource.”
Mark Enticknap, Hospital Director at Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital, said: “We are delighted to support SCCC and continue our partnership during this challenging time. All sportsmen and women know, amateur or professional, that when you get injured you need a clear diagnosis and an immediate treatment plan to get you on the road to recovery.”
Carrie Hobrough, General Manager from Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing, added: “We look forward to continuing to welcome the Somerset County Cricket Club team to train at our Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, in addition to supporting their recovery and rehabilitation through our hospital and clinical services.”
Nuffield Health is one of the leading not-for-profit UK healthcare organisations with a network of hospitals, medical clinics, fitness & wellbeing clubs and diagnostic units across the UK.
