Richard Huish College celebrates continued accountancy success

As ACCA’s ( the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) only Gold Approved Learning Partner in Somerset, Richard Huish College has a longstanding reputation for success in accountancy qualifications and it seems the trend is set to continue.

Learner, Ben Pucknell, has not only just achieved his ACCA qualification with Huish but has been awarded the prestigious ACCA Worldwide Advanced Tax Prize, heading-off thousands of entrants.

Ben said: “I’m delighted to be announced as a worldwide ACCA Prize Winner for advanced tax on top of achieving my ACCA qualification. I am grateful to the ACCA Tutors at Richard Huish College for their knowledge, skill and support in helping me in this achievement.”

Martin Green, Professional Accountancy Manager, added: “ACCA qualifications are recognised and recommended around the world. Based on international accounting standards, employers know that an ACCA qualification is a mark of professional excellence. This is a fantastic achievement – very well done!”

Ben’s spectacular achievement follows news of some of the best ever results for ACCA exams at Huish. In the advanced tax exam 70% of learners passed compared with a global average of 37% and in the financial reporting professional exam 88% of learners passed compared to a global average of 50%. The cohort also included members of Huish’ own finance department who each triumphed in their exams.

More information about AAT and ACCA qualifications at Huish will be available at the college’s open event on Wednesday, February 9, from 5-8pm – register now at https://www.huish.ac.uk/event/open-event-spring-2022/, or contact Martin Green on marting@richuish.ac.uk.
