Final free data analytics sessions offered to businesses by Somerset County Council

Somerset County Council is continuing its free specialist training sessions to help local businesses maximise their understanding of data analytics.

The training will be delivered by the University of Exeter and Tech South West. It will enable business to understand how to more effectively exploit data to improve business performance, deliver ROI and generate results with stakeholders, customers and partners.

Registration is now open for the final set of free in-person training events, which will take place at the Collar Factory in Taunton on Thursday, June 16.

The morning sessions takes place between 10am and 12noon while the afternoon event takes place between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Spaces are limited and can be booked by emailing leah.watts@astleymedia.co.uk with your name, job role, company name and address.

A series of virtual focus group sessions will also be held in July, offering businesses in Somerset the chance to share their views on using data in exchange for a £20 gift voucher for either a local Somerset business or from Amazon.

These focus groups will help University of Exeter and Somerset County Council better understand the data analytics needs of businesses to offer the right kind of support.

The groups will take place on Zoon on Thursday, July 7, at 10am – 11:30am, from 1pm – 2:30pm and from 3pm – 4:30pm.

Businesses which take part in either the training events or the focus groups will have the opportunity to receive a free, specialist one-to-one knowledge transfer and innovation session provided by the University of the West of England (UWE).

To register for either a training events or focus group, or to find out more, email leah.watts@astleymedia.co.uk.
