What could be better than enjoying live world class sporting action with a cool ice-cream or sorbet?
That dream is now a reality after Somerset County Cricket Club signed a new partnership agreement with Granny Gothards.
The new three-year deal will see the multi-award-winning South West-based company become Somerset County Cricket Club’s Official ice-cream supplier.
Founded in 2012, Granny Gothards uses only the finest natural ingredients and all of their products are free from additives, flavourings and artificial colourings. They are also suitable for those on a gluten-free diet, while a number of their creations are especially made for vegetarians, vegans and people with dairy intolerances.
SCCC Commercial Sales Director, Suzanne Roper, said: “We are delighted to have signed this partnership with Granny Gothards. They are a local company, but their reputation for excellence is known world-wide.
“Granny Gothards are multiple winners of some of the most prestigious awards within the food and beverage sector and we are all looking forward to the next three years.
“Not only will they be supplying our concession units on match days, they will be providing the ice cream and sorbet for all of our corporate areas and for all of our C&E events.
“Their bespoke flavours are amazing, and they’ve already been working with a number of our existing partners to create some new and exciting tastes. Their Thatchers ice-cream, for example, has already been a big hit with people here at the Cooper Associates County Ground.”
Granny Gothards owner, Amanda Stansfield said: “We are thrilled to have signed this agreement and to be working with SCCC. We are also so pleased to have created ice creams from the amazing products from their other partners.
“We are delighted with the new fully-branded concession, which will be serving a variety of our flavours, with over 145 to choose from. You can also expect some more unusual flavours to appear, especially with the new international cricket schedule.
“What could be better than sitting in the sunshine, watching the cricket and enjoying a wonderful ice-cream made by the Granny Gothards team.”
